European Toy Libraries
The Group of European Toy Libraries (ETL) was founded in 1996 during the 7th International Conference on Toy Libraries in Zurich (Switzerland).
The European Group is an informal group. We are committed to the beliefs that play, playthings and playful interaction are essential to optimal education, physical, psychological, social and cultural development.
Documentation for European Toy Libraries
ETL released in 2014 the "Documentation for toy librarie", elaborated by the members of ETL during the last years. You can consult and download the document that has the following contents:
- ETL history and definitions
- Working standards
- Different charters of quality
- Training in Europe
- World Play Day
- All website addresses of the participating countries
This documentation was inexistent in Europe and will respond to a gap that most countries feel regarding access to reference documents in the area of toy libraries.
